Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Xavi Simons in the upcoming transfer window, as reported by the Spanish outlet Fichajes.

After facing challenges in securing consistent playing time at Paris Saint-Germain, the 20-year-old opted to join PSV Eindhoven at the start of the previous season, seeking regular opportunities for his career development.

During his time at the Philips Stadion, the Dutch star had a standout season for his club last year. Impressed by Simons’ performances in the Dutch top flight, PSG decided to bring him back this summer.

After his return to Paris, Simons chose to join RB Leipzig on a season-long loan to further his development by gaining consistent first-team experience.
