Chelsea’s Victor Mosses joins Spartak Moscow on a season-long loan deal

Victor Moses has not featured for Chelsea for more than two years and his move to the Russian side can put an end to the career in Chelsea. The 29-year-old joined the Spartak Moscow in a season-long loan deal. Spartak has the option to purchase him at the end of this current campaign as per the official website of Chelsea.

Moses is not in favour of the Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard and it is now his sixth loan spell in total. He has previously played as a loanee in Fenerbahce and last season, he was with Inter Milan.

The Nigerian was instrumental in Chelsea’s 2016-17 Premier League victory under Anotion Conte. Mosses played as a right back in the Italian coach’s 3-4-1-2 formation and undoubtedly it was the best season of his career as he made three assists and three goals in total.

Moses was sent away on loan as he fell out of favour when Conte left the Stamford Bridge. he again reunited with Conte and joined Inter Milan last season, however, his spell was not extended despite speculation, after having a brief spell with Fenerbahce.

His new team, Spartak Moscow has already played 10 games so far and is in level points on top of the table with Zenit Saint Petersburg.

It seems that Chelsea remains well-stocked at the position of the right-back with the impressive development of Reece James from the starting of the season. There is healthy competition with Reece and club captain, Cesar Azpilicueta and the services of the Nigerian seem no longer required.
