As revealed by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea target Tyler Adams is on the verge of finalizing a move to Bournemouth, ensuring his stay in the Premier League despite Leeds United’s relegation last season.
Bournemouth recently reached an agreement with Leeds to acquire Adams for a fee of $29 million (£23 million), with potential additional payments based on certain performance milestones.
This deal comes after lengthy negotiations with the club, who were in need of bolstering their midfield.
The United states international is said to have completed a medical examination on Friday afternoon, and the 24-year-old is poised to ink a five-year contract.

This marks the conclusion of his tenure with Leeds after a single season, during which he made 24 appearances in the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.
Earlier, there were complications in the potential deal for Adams. Bournemouth initially thought they had activated a time-limited relegation release clause worth $25 million (£20 million), but Leeds contended that any such clause had expired.

Despite initial obstacles in the negotiations, talks persisted, and Adams is now poised to return to the Premier League.
At Bournemouth, he will join the midfield ranks alongside players like Philip Billing, Lewis Cook, and new signing Alex Scott, under the management of Androni Iraola.
It’s worth noting that just last week, Adams had travelled to London with the intention of finalizing a remarkable transfer to Chelsea.
However, that deal fell through. Chelsea had expressed interest in the former RB Leipzig star but ultimately opted for substantial signings in the form of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.
The Blues secured Caicedo in a mega-deal, initially paying $127 million (£100 million) for the Ecuadorian international.
Shortly thereafter, they completed a stunning signing of former Southampton player Lavia, adding the 19-year-old talent to their squad alongside Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
