Chelsea have made their promising academy graduate Lewis Hall available for transfer and are seeking a minimum of £30 million for a potential deal, according to The Telegraph.
Despite the 18-year-old talent agreeing to a new six-year contract with Chelsea, it was expected that he would go on loan to Crystal Palace.
However, the planned transfer has encountered problems, creating an opportunity for Newcastle United to potentially intervene with a similar temporary loan offer.
Following Jamal Lewis’ loan move to Watford, Newcastle’s manager Eddie Howe aims to bolster the left-back position for his team. This has led to the consideration of Hall as a key target for the role.

Despite his natural inclination towards playing in midfield, Hall performed remarkably well as a full-back for Chelsea in the latter part of the previous season. This trend is expected to continue in his upcoming matches.
Chelsea, who have spent around £900 million on transfers across the last three windows, including breaking British transfer records, are reportedly feeling the financial effects of their lavish spending.
As a result, they are now under pressure to generate revenue through player sales.
Chelsea have plans to offload a few players before the closure of the transfer window in slightly more than two weeks. Among these players are Romelu Lukaku, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Hakim Ziyech.
Ziyech is close to moving to Galatasaray, but Chelsea are cautiously awaiting his medical assessment due to past complications with a Saudi Pro League transfer.

The Blues would consider a permanent sale for Hall at around £30 million, or they could entertain a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
Newcastle United’s financial situation are currently being scrutinized due to Financial Fair Play regulations, making it difficult for them to make another signing without a player departure.
Therefore, a loan deal appears to be the only feasible option for them to finalise the Hall deal.
