Chelsea players are seeming to be frustrated as the transfer window is about to shut down on 5th October. This has created a hostile environment in the Chelsea dressing room due to their lack of involvement and by the coach.
Frank Lampard is dealing with the players who have fallen out of favour and wants to offload them as soon as possible. Chelsea has spent a huge amount of money near to £250million in this summer transfer window to overhaul the squad.
On his debut season as a manager, Frank Lampard was unable to sign any players due to the transfer ban. Moreover, the departure of Eden Hazard left a big void in the squad. So the board didn’t wait a minute to buy attackers as soon as the transfer session started.
Chelsea have still gone ahead with splashing big money on talented players like Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz, despite the financial uncertainty faced due to the COVID-19.
Until now, a large proportion of the squad have been emptied with the departure of Ross Barkley, Pedro and Willian while Malang Sarr was also let go. Still there a lot many players upfront who will undoubtedly not get many minutes this season.
The board is still finding a proper suitor to sell both Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater. The club is also ready to listen to any propositions for Jorginho, Emerson Palmieri, Marcos Alonso, and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. All these players’ futures are uncertain and it will be best for both the club and player if they part ways rather than rotting on the bench.
