Boost for Chelsea as Mykhailo Mudryk resumes training ahead of Tottenham match

Chelsea have officially announced that Mykhailo Mudryk has resumed training in preparation for the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday evening.

The Ukrainian player recently scored his second Premier League goal of the season in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal. His intended cross ended up in the Arsenal net due to a misjudgment by goalkeeper David Raya.

However, the 22-year-old hasn’t been able to play in the subsequent matches due to an injury. Nonetheless, he appears to be on track for a return to the squad for the evening London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Chelsea’s official website has confirmed that their £39 million star is making a return to team training, marking a significant boost for the London club.

The Blues displayed one of their finest performances of the season in a draw with Arsenal, where they were dominant for most of the game but experienced a lapse in concentration towards the end.

This was followed by an unexpected 2-0 defeat to Brentford at Stamford Bridge, disappointing many fans. The team managed to make amends with a 2-0 victory over Blackburn in the Carabao Cup 4th round.

However, the real challenge lies ahead against Tottenham, who are currently leading the standings after 10 matches and will test Chelsea’s mettle.

Ange Postecoglou’s team has had an exceptional start to the season, benefiting from some good fortune, and they have an opportunity to maintain their top position with another victory.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side aims to disrupt their plans and hand them their first league loss of the season. The return of Mudryk is particularly crucial due to his speed and dribbling ability out wide.

Historically, Chelsea have performed well against Spurs, emerging victorious in five of their last seven encounters.
