Antonio Rudiger assessing his options for the next summer but Chelsea extension possible

Antonio Rudiger is assessing his options for the next summer but rumours suggest that a Chelsea extension could be on the cards for the German central defender.

Chelsea are sweating over the long-term future of Rudiger at Stamford Bridge beyond the next summer’s transfer window as the player is yet to commit to signing a new deal with the Blues.

The likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have been backed as suitors for Rudiger’s signature and the European trio are certain to reach out to the defender in the forthcoming January window for pre-contract terms.

Reports from Sky Sports claim that the 28-year-old Chelsea man is keen on assessing his options for now but could be convinced on extending his stay with Chelsea and has not ruled out an extension with Thomas Tuchel’s camp.

The Chelsea boss Tuchel is understood to be pushing for the club’s board to agree to Rudiger’s demands of a major bump in his wages to put pen to paper on a new contract with the player key to Tuchel’s plans at the Bridge.
