The Paris Saint-Germain winger has reportedly made a transfer decision that could tempt Chelsea and Sporting Director, Marina Granovskaia into some big business next summer.
The World Cup winner has informed Paris Saint-Germain of his desire to leave next season as per the reports.
This has provided a massive encouragement to Chelsea as he is set to have move either to Spain’s La Liga or the Premier League.
It was only a couple of months ago when Mbappe made a statement regarding his future which would back up claims that he’s looking to leave PSG within the next year.
“I’m here. I am in the project for the fourth year,” Mbappe said.
“The 50th year of the club is an important year for the club, the supporters, everyone, so I will be there no matter what.
Mbappe joined Paris Saint-German by rejecting advances from Manchester City and Real Madrid. His move from Monaco for a £165m fee in 2018 represents the second-ever highest transfer fee in the world football.
Chelsea’s History with Mbappe
Chelsea had been following Mbappe through their French scout, Guy Hillion when he was 11 years old. In 2010, they invited him to their Cobham training ground for a week trial.
Mbappe was excited to get the opportunity. For him, this was more an opportunity to test himself at one of Europe’s biggest clubs. It was also for inspiration where he could meet some of his football heroes.
During his week at Chelsea, Mbappe played one game for their under-12 side, an 8-0 win against Charlton Athletic.
Mbappe played alongside players which include England striker Tammy Abraham and fellow Frenchman Jeremie Boga. Both Tammy and Boga are at the loan from Chelsea to Swansea City and Birmingham City respectively, this season.
Mbappe enjoyed his week at Chelsea’s training ground. He was hugely impressed with the modern training center, as he came from a non-league club. At that time, Chelsea’s training ground had only been open only for three years.
While in England, Mbappe also was taken to London for a tour of Stamford Bridge. There he met then Chelsea manager, Carlo Ancelotti and star forward Didier Drogba. He was presented with a Chelsea shirt with “Kylian 10” on the back, which he hung in his bedroom when he returned home.
Last summer, when he was unveiled at Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappe spoke about the important role the visit to Chelsea had played in his career.
“It was a wonderful experience,” he said.
“Chelsea was the first great club, the first big club, that I went to visit. So it was a real discovery for me.”
“An idea has been reinforced since I was a kid—not just because I went to Chelsea. I always thought, I want to be there. I want to be one of those big players who is trying to give people fun out of the game.'”
London correspondents exclaimed about Mbappe being amazing during his week at Chelsea. It is said that the coaches were very impressed with him. Chelsea pushed really hard for him, but the family was certain it was not the right time.
Mbappe’s family went to England primarily for the experience, with no intention of uprooting themselves and leaving France, although Chelsea hoped to lure him.
"The Mbappe story begins in Bondy, a troubled town in the north-eastern suburbs of Paris. His mother, Fayza, was a former handball player, while his father, Wilfried, worked as a football coach at the local club, AS Bondy" https://t.co/3VRSodqsd6

Mbappe returned to playing for the youth sides at AS Bondy and resisted the charms of Chelsea with the influence of his family.
Fate of Mbappe?
But the next year could be it. Although Real Madrid is reported to be interested, Chelsea can strike a deal with the Frenchman.
Mbappe has played 174 matches in his career having netted 104 times with 45 assists. He is a winger who can also play as a striker as is tipped to become the next Ballon D’or contender in the future. He is very young and has already performed at big stages. His addition to Lampard’s squad will undoubtedly make Chelsea the main contender to win Premier League as well as the Champions League.
Although there is no indication if Chelsea would attempt to buy Mbappe with a sensational bid in the future, the Frenchman’s transfer talks certainly leave a possibility. Anything could be possible, given how Chelsea spent money ambitiously this summer.
