Chelsea’s outgoing player Victor Moses has penned a heartfelt note in which he has expressed his gratitude towards the west London club and the fans, according to football.london.
Moses joins Russian outfit Spartak Moscow on a permanent transfer on the back of his loan spell at the club last season which made Spartak reach out to Chelsea for the Nigerian international.
It is believed that Chelsea have pocketed a fee of £4.5 million for offloading Moses to Russia which will come of importance to Thomas Tuchel who is backed to bring in new faces into his camp this summer.
Moses was employed at Chelsea for a nine-year-long stint during which he clinched three major honours with the Blues and the versatile talent was generous in his praise for the club and his gratitude towards the fanbase for their love and support over the years.
“After nine fantastic years and 128 games for Chelsea I have now officially left the club to join Spartak Moscow on a permanent transfer.
“I’ve loved every moment playing for Chelsea and leave with memories that I will cherish forever, including winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League.
“I’ve always appreciated the love and support shown to me during my time at Stamford Bridge and would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody connected with the club, with a special mention to the Chelsea fans who have always been brilliant with me.
“I would like to wish the club every success in the future. Thank you for everything.
“I’ll always have blue in my heart.”
Tuchel is believed to be looking for suitors in the transfer market for the fringe likes of Tammy Abraham and Ruben Loftus-Cheek with the former linked with a move to either Aston Villa or West Ham United ahead of the next season.
