Tammy Abraham’s heavily tipped Aston Villa move not on the cards this summer

Aston Villa have been ruled out for making Chelsea’s out-of-favour striker Tammy Abraham their priority target in this summer’s transfer window, according to reports from The Athletic.

The England international has been heavily backed to leave Stamford Bridge in time for the new season’s start in light of his marginalised role in the Chelsea camp since Thomas Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard in January this year.

Dean Smith’s Villians were claimed to be the frontrunners to land Abraham’s signature ahead of West Ham United who seem to be priced out of a deal for Abraham.

Speculation is that Aston Villa’s priority in the transfer market currently underway is on finding a new playmaking talent with club talisman Jack Grealish being subject to heavy attention from Premier League champions Manchester City who are planning to lodge a £100 million bid for the in-form Englishman.

The latest developments could mean that David Moyes will be keeping tabs on Abraham’s situation with the West Ham boss keen on bringing in the forward to bolster his attacking line for his side who will be competing in the Europa League this forthcoming campaign.
