Trevoh Chalobah in line for an early return from his hamstring injury

Trevoh Chalobah’s hamstring trouble is reportedly not as bad as first assessed by the Chelsea camp and the defender could be in line to make the squad for the game against Everton next week.

The Chelsea man had suffered the niggle in the 2-1 win over the Premier League’s new boys Watford last week and there had been concern shown by his boss Thomas Tuchel in the aftermath of the game.

According to reports from The Athletic, however, it is claimed that the 22-year-old central defender will stage a return much earlier than expected with the forthcoming Everton tie a possibility for him to feature in.

Chalobah back in the Stamford Bridge fold will come as a major boost on the injury front for Thomas Tuchel who has earned a formidable player at the back in the young Englishman this season.

Tuchel was left impressed by the run of form put out by Chalobah in the early part of this campaign which was key to the player putting pen to paper on a new long-term deal in the English capital that will run until the summer of 2026.
