Chelsea gaffer Thomas Tuchel is set to convene meetings with the club’s chief Marina Granovskaia as he seeks reinforcements in his side’s attacking core ahead of the summer transfer window.
Reports from the Evening Standard claim that Tuchel is on the lookout for arrivals at Stamford Bridge with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Manchester City veteran Sergio Aguero high on the Chelsea boss’ wishlist for the summer.
With Timo Werner’s long-term future in the Blues shirt looking increasingly uncertain ahead of the 2021-22 season in light of the German international failing to adapt to life in England following his move last summer, Tuchel is understood to be worried over his limited options upfront besides the likes of Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham.
Abraham’s run-in with injury troubles this season has severely curtailed the English forward’s time on the pitch, seeing him make just 20 outings so far in Premier League football with a majority of them coming off the bench.
Haaland remains Chelsea’s priority signing for the much-awaited summer window as the young attacker makes his name in the market with a host of top clubs across the continent engaged in a battle to land his signature.
