Thomas Tuchel ready to step into Premier League as Lampard clings to his Chelsea job

Thomas Tuchel, the former PSG manager, is one of the contenders to replace Frank Lampard and become the manager for Chelsea. A poor run of form for the last 10 games has put Lampard’s job in jeopardy.

As per the reports from the German publication BILD Thomas Tuchel is already ready to start his managerial duties afresh by stepping to the Premier League.

Losing almost five out of eight games that the Blues played so far in the tournament, had put a time bomb ticking over Frank Lampard’s reign and which can burst at any moment.

Frustrated with the miserable performances match after match, Frank Lampard has become the favourite manager who is on the verge of getting sacked if things go more towards the south. Chelsea was very poor in their performances in the crucial game against Leicester City which was the tip of Roman Abramovich’s melting point.

Chelsea men were riding high after the win against Leeds United by 3-1 in mid-December but could not manage to continue the winning streak which has seen them in freefall and drop down to the eighth position in the league.

Frank Lampard was 25/1 to be the next to go with the bookies five days before Christmas but his odds have shortened drastically, now odds-on at 8/15 with several bookies.

The likes of Max Allegri, RB Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmann and Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers are also on the shortlist alongside Shevchenko to replace Lampard.
