Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly given his nod for a big-money move to land the signature of Juventus star Federico Chiesa.
The Italy international has emerged as a top name on the shopping list at Stamford Bridge with Tuchel backed to bring in a fresh face for his attacking roster in the forthcoming transfer windows.
Chiesa has faced the Blues on two occasions this season in the Champions League group stage fixture list with the 24-year-old scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win for Juventus in their home tie against Tuchel’s men.
According to reports from the Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Chelsea are in line to table an £84 million bid for the Juventus talisman with Roman Abramovich on the hunt for reinforcements in attack.
Timo Werner has failed to hit the ground running ever since his move to the English capital last summer while American international Christian Pulisic’s run-in with injury niggles could force Chelsea to part ways with him sooner rather than later.
