Thiago Silva has urged his former Paris Saint-Germain teammate Neymar to join Chelsea this summer with the Brazilian superstar’s future up in the air.
Neymar’s situation in the PSG camp has been subject to much speculation in recent weeks with the Ligue 1 giants said to be willing to accept a big-money offer coming their way and part ways with the former Barcelona man.
Potential destinations for the Brazil international, however, are expected to be limited in this summer’s transfer window owing to Neymar’s huge wage demands and a return to Camp Nou is all but out of the question.
With Chelsea tipped as a viable change of scenery, Neymar has been called upon by his national teammate Thiago Silva, an important name in the Stamford Bridge fold under Thomas Tuchel’s charge, to make the move to the west London.
A report from Metro quotes Silva saying that Neymar linking up with the Blues this summer would be a fantastic decision for both parties involved as Chelsea look to use the transfer market to sign a new attacking player.
‘You have to go to Chelsea.
‘If it happens, it will be for the best.
‘He needs no comments… so far, I don’t know anything, but I hope it comes to fruition.’
