The Blues plan to secure the transfer of Kai Havertz

The Blues are now gearing to prepare a mega offer for long-term target Kai Havertz.

The recent months has seen Chelsea FC and Frank Lampard make a splash in the transfer market with the massive signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. The signing of Werner was a shock to many Blues supporters with the German striker believed to be wanting a move to Liverpool FC.

However, the inability of the Merseyside club to pay the striker’s release clause led to Lampard hijacking the transfer deal and agreeing to the asking price set by RB Leipzig.

With the Blues owner Roman Abramovich willing to shell out more funds so that Chelsea FC can dip further in the transfer market to make them competent challengers for the Premier League next season, Frank Lampard has set his eyes on finalizing a deal for German sensation Kai Havetz.

Havertz has been linked to a host of top European clubs, with the frontrunners being Liverpool FC and the Blues.

Due to the impressive performances by the 20-year-old German in the Bundesliga and his world-class potential, Havertz will demand a hefty transfer fee by the teams pursuing his signature.

Bayern Leverkusen are reported to be demanding a fee of £75 million to let their player depart this summer. The player still has two more years left on his contract with the Bundesliga side, and his present team won’t let the player go for cheap.

The signing of Havertz by Chelsea FC would fit the bill for Frank Lampard’s new team-building strategy at Stamford Bridge. The English manager is signing and developing young players with the objective of securing the Premier League side’s future.

The 20-year-old Havertz is very young despite his quality as a footballer and could be a major part of the Blues future. He would also link up with fellow German Timo Werner and could revolutionize the attacking strength of Chelsea FC, which has struggled this season.
