Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge beyond this summer’s transfer window with clubs interested in the England international reportedly turned away by his wage demands.
Reports from TeamTalk claim that Abraham’s wants of a £180,000-a-week contract to extend his stay in the Chelsea colours has led to the club conveying to the player that he is open to sealing an exit in the summer.
However, despite interest rampant in Abraham from a host of Premier League sides including the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa, none of the interested parties seems to be in a position to hand out such a bumper deal to the 23-year-old who has fallen down the pecking order for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Tuchel is likely to dip into the transfer market for reinforcements as the new Chelsea boss appears keen on bolstering his attacking options ahead of the 2021-22 season in which the Blues are expected to flaunt their title-winning credentials.
Borussia Dortmund talisman Erling Haaland remains the priority signing for Tuchel despite Real Madrid appearing the frontrunners in the race to sign the highly-rated Norway international who has been a goalscoring hit for the Bundesliga side.
