Spanish trio does it for Chelsea

Chelsea made two wins out of two under their new manager Maurizio Sarri. The London derby was one every footballing fan would want to watch. 90 minute of non-stop entertainment with lots of threat and clinical finishes from both sides. Chelsea’s starting XI was same as their previous match against Huddersfield. Chelsea had a great start with a delicious move up-front by Marcus Alonso to Pedro who finished it with ease. Pedro was in the right place at the right time throughout the game and was impressive in his footwork and linking play as well.

The Blues were electrical early on with Morata scoring the second goal for the Blues in the first twenty minutes. Arsenal got their chances but their dismaying finishing touch did not get a ball into the net and were 2-0 down very early. And the bad miss was by none other than the duo of Mkhitariyan and Aubameyang; both missing the target from close range.

The amendments were made in their play, when Mkhitariyan opened the scoring for The Gunners with a clinical finish into the bottom-left corner. It did not take Iwobi long to level the scoring with a delicious pass from Mkhitariyan into the box. Arsenal did fight back by the end of first half and showed good composure with the ball later on.

The second half had plenty to admire about from Ross Barkley’s outstanding moment of individual which almost got the ball past Cech; or a lovely pass by Kepa or Kante’s brilliant display of header that went over the bar. The hard work finally paid off when Marcus Alonso finished the pass from Eden Hazard past the keeper, which made it 3-2 in favour of the Blues. Surprisingly, all the three goals were scored by the Spaniards.
