Southampton’s search for a Danny Ings replacement in the transfer market has led them to Stamford Bridge with the Saints keeping close tabs on the 19-year-old Armando Broja.
Reports from The Athletic claim that Broja has been identified by Southampton as a probable target in this summer’s transfer window and talks are ongoing between the two Premier League clubs.
Broja on the back of his highly impressive loan stint last season in Holland had signed a new long-term deal with Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea this summer with the Blues keen to tie down their young talent amid interest from other clubs in his servives.
However, with the recent shock sale of star striker Danny Ings to Aston Villa, Southampton are involved in the chase for the outgoing Ings’ replacement which has led to speculation that Broja is being tracked by the St. Mary’s outfit.
Chelsea could be willing to ship out the teenage forward on a season-long loan spell but Southampton are reportedly seeking his signature on a permanent transfer.
