Several Chelsea FC players expected to leave in the summer as Lampard plans a complete overhaul of the club

Chelsea FC are looking to offload as many of their current players as the Premier League side seeks to fund more major transfers in the summer.

After having agreed upon a deal to sign highly-rated striker Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, the Blues are also keen on bringing in Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell to Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks. Moreover, the already confirmed signing of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax has given manager Frank Lampard plenty of younger options to choose from ahead of the start of next season.

Pedro is expected to be allowed to leave by the Blues on a free transfer this summer with Italian side AS Roma in pole position to sign the Spanish winger. The departure of Pedro will have a positive effect on the high wage bill of Chelsea FC.

Moreover, after the Blues failure to negotiate a new deal with Willian, the Brazilian is also set to leave the Premier League side in the summer. The departure of these two experienced wingers won’t seem to give Lampard a cause to worry as he has suitable attacking options in Ziyech, Cristian Pulisic and Callum Hudson Odoi.

West Ham FC manager David Moyes had expressed his interest in signing his former Everton FC player Ross Barkley. Reports earlier this year confirmed speculation that Moyes was looking to sign Barkley, with whom he had a wonderful working relationship while the pair were at Everton. Moreover, the limited playtime awarded to Barkley this season could see him departing the club in the summer.

Ex-Blues boss Jose Mourinho is looking to sign French centre back Kurt Zouma for his current side Tottenham Hotspurs. With first-team centre back Jan Jan Vertonghen set to leave on a free transfer this summer, Mourinho will be eager to replace the Belgian with a colossal signing in Zouma.

Speaking about former Chelsea FC managers, Maurizio Sarri’s growing interest in signing his former player Jorginho has only increased over the past few weeks. Sarri, who now manages Juventus, has been believed to consider Jorginho as an ideal addition to the Italian side’s midfield.

A host of departures from the Blues squad are expected in the summer as Frank Lampard seeks to rebuild the entire Chelsea FC squad and aim for silverware in the coming seasons.
