Serie A giants Juventus hope to sign Chelsea target Erling Haaland next summer

Chelsea’s hopes of landing the much-coveted signature of long-term transfer target Erling Haaland next summer could be dealt a major blow with Juventus joining the fray for the in-demand Dortmund talisman.

It is understood that Thomas Tuchel might have to delay his approach for Haaland until next summer’s transfer window with Borussia Dortmund reluctant to sanction his sale ahead of the next season.

Reports from the La Repubblica claim that Chelsea will face a new challenger in Serie A giants Juventus who have identified the 20-year-old Haaland as a Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement with the Portuguese star forward’s deal at Turin running out at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is speculated to be a long-term admirer of Haaland who found the back of the net 41 times in 41 outings across all competitions last season which made him the top name on Thomas Tuchel’s shopping list for this summer.

The next summer, however, would mean that Haaland will be available for a much cheaper fee with only £65 million required to land his signature compared to Dortmund’s price-tag of £150 million for the transfer window currently underway.
