Olivier Giroud who joined Chelsea in January has been speculated to leave Stamford Bridge. The French club Marseille is interested in bringing the World Cup winner to their squad. The big man is yet to arrive London and already has been the target of media.
Giroud is yet to discuss his role in the team with the new boss Maurizio Sarri. Marseille will be keeping a good eye on the talk with Giroud being their prime target. But as far as Giroud is concerned he will not be leaving the club this year and will play for the same. He told Le Dauphine: “I have heard many things that have been said in the media. In the near future, my goal isn’t to return to France. For now, I’m a Chelsea player.”
But new boss Maurizio doesn’t seem keen to keep Giroud with the Blue and accept the Marseille offer of £20 million. Giroud is in good physical condition and is ready to be playing for the Blues.
What will outcome of Sarri’s and Giroud’s talk is all the Chelsea fans waiting for.
