Olivier Giroud calls upon Hakim Ziyech to join him at AC Milan

Hakim Ziyech has been urged by his former Chelsea attacking partner to join him at AC Milan who maintain a strong interest in signing Ziyech this summer.

The Moroccan playmaker has failed to impress the coaches and fans alike during his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge following his last summer’s move from Ajax to Chelsea.

With talk of Ziyech calling it quits at the Bridge just into his second season in the Chelsea shirt, it is Serie A giants AC Milan who have been backed to be leading the race to land the 28-year-old Ziyech from Thomas Tuchel’s camp where has failed to secure a first-team berth.

Reports from football.london claims that Giroud has called upon Ziyech to make the move to San Siro this summer as the outgoing Chelsea striker detailed his experience of playing alongside the Moroccon last season in the Premier League.

The veteran Frenchman Giroud signed for AC Milan earlier this summer on a two-year deal after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge since Tuchel took charge from Frank Lampard.

“Ziyech is a great player.”

“We have had a great connection even though we have played few games together.

“He has a top left foot, has experience and he is very good technically. It would be nice to play with him again.”
