Noni Madueke’s Heartfelt Reaction as Pochettino Departs from Chelsea

Despite concluding the Premier League season with a victory over Bournemouth and a sixth-place finish, Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino have parted ways.

Fans and commentators have reacted differently to this news. Football legend Alan Shearer expressed his worries about the club’s current state of affairs just hours after Chelsea’s season-ending match.

These worries were confirmed on Tuesday night when Chelsea made Pochettino’s exit official on their website.

When he decided to sign with Chelsea, their London rivals, they were offended.

Former Tottenham player Noni Madueke who had previously collaborated with Pochettino had one noteworthy response.

Madueke who was cut from Spurs after failing to make the first team, rejoined Pochettino at Chelsea.

This season Madueke flourished under the Argentine’s guidance.

After learning about Pochettino’s departure, Madueke posted a heartfelt note on his Instagram story saying “Thank You” and including a heart emoji and a photo with them.

There were highs and lows during Noni Madueke’s tenure at Chelsea under Pochettino. Madueke had both highs and lows while playing under Pochettino at Chelsea.

The 22-year-old winger Noni Madueke was inactive for several games in the early part of the season and thus failed to establish himself as a consistent starter.

However, the season’s second half saw a decline in circumstances.

Chelsea had the most points during this period compared to all other teams including Manchester City and Arsenal being the top two finishes.

After a slow start to the season, Madueke showed signs of improvement contributing two assists and five goals in the Premier League mostly in April.

The key question now is who Chelsea’s next manager will be with Pochettino out of the picture.

Some names being floated are former Chelsea managers Jose Mourinho and Thomas Tuchel. Since departing AS Roma earlier this year Mourinho is unrestricted.

It is unlikely though that well-known individuals such as Mourinho, Tuchel or Antonio Conte will return given the current dynamics at Chelsea.
