Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been ruled out of action for four months after undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury which adds the foes of Graham Potter.
Kante picked up the hamstring issue in Chelsea’s 2-2 stalemate against local rivals Tottenham Hotspur and has now had surgery on the same which ensures a lengthy spell on the sidelines for the France international maestro.
According to Chelsea’s official website, Kante’s latest setback on the injury front means he will not feature in what remains of the calendar year as he works on his rehabilitation approach and to full fitness levels.
Kante is yet to turn out under the new Chelsea head coach Graham Potter who would be worrying over his lack of quality options in midfield following the news of Kante being sidelined until after the New Year.
Potter could look to bring in a new signing to bolster his engine room roster when the transfer window reopens for business in January with Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the recent past.
