Newcastle United register interest in moving in for Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic

Newcastle United have registered their interest in moving in for Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic in this summer’s transfer window, according to a claim from The Athletic.

The USMNT international attacker Pulisic is expected to be deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge by the Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel who is looking to overhaul his forward roster for the newly commenced campaign.

With Pulisic failing to make a lasting impact since he joined the Blues from Dortmund two years back, there are rumours doing the rounds that Chelsea will be open to cashing in on the 23-year-old American and finding a fresh face from the market.

Newcastle, who are looking to spend big in the summer window after their takeover earlier in 2022, are weighing up a swoop for Pulisic’s services with the Magpies boss Eddie Howe keen to reinforce his options in the attacking third of the pitch.

Howe has not been able to get his desired targets in the transfer window so far with the pursuit for the likes of Paris Saint-Germain-bound Hugo Ekitike and Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby reaching nowhere.
