According to Football London, Newcastle United are considering the possibility of signing Chelsea’s young talent, Lewis Hall, as they search for a left-back.
The Magpies have identified Hall as an alternative option to their primary target, Kieran Tierney from Arsenal.
While Tierney remains their top choice, Arsenal are demanding £30 million for the Scotland international, which Newcastle is hesitant to meet.
Therefore, they are exploring the potential of acquiring Hall as a more affordable option to strengthen their left-back position.
Newcastle United are contemplating the possibility of making a move for the young talent. The 18-year-old, who originally played as a midfielder, made his senior team debut for Chelsea last season as a left-back, filling in for Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell.

The Tyneside club is considering approaching Chelsea to inquire about the availability of Hall as an option to strengthen their left-back position.
It is interesting to note that Hall’s debut for the Blues came against Newcastle, and he also featured in the return fixture, impressing on both occasions.
Hall, who initially impressed as a left-back for Chelsea, has expressed his desire to return to his preferred position in midfield. Despite playing in midfield during his team’s 5-0 victory over Wrexham, he failed to leave a strong impression.
Currently, Chelsea have competition at left-back, with Ian Maatsen and Ben Chilwell, both scoring goals in a match. Manager Mauricio Pochettino faces the challenge of managing this logjam at the left-back position and must decide whether to keep Hall in the first team or loan him out.
Furthermore, Pochettino must make a crucial decision on whether to play Hall in his preferred midfield role or retain him as a left-back.

If Chelsea decides to loan Hall, they may be hesitant to send him to a direct rival but could consider accepting such an offer from Newcastle if it includes an obligation to buy in the deal.
