New Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick is reportedly keen on making a swoop for Chelsea striker Timo Werner come next summer.
Rangnick who has taken over at Old Trafford on an interim basis following which he will function in a two-year consultancy role has his sights set on landing Werner’s signature from the Blues fold.
According to reports from The BILD ( via The Metro), it is claimed that on the back of Werner’s struggles since his move to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2020, Manchester United could be in line to offer the Germany international a career lifeline.
The Chelsea man has worked with Rangnick in the past at Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig and the incoming Manchester United boss is hopeful of a reunion with his former player at Old Trafford in the very near future.
Werner’s transfer situation heading into the January transfer window is sounded uncertain with Chelsea looking to offload him as the likes of FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich register an interest in securing his signing.
