New United boss Erik ten Hag eyeing up move for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante

New United boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly eyeing up a move for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante this coming summer to bolster his midfield ranks at Old Trafford.

The incoming Red Devils gaffer is looking to overhaul his roster heading into the start of the next season and Chelsea maestro N’Golo Kante is understood to have emerged on his transfer radar.

United’s need for a fresh face in the centre of the park could well come down to landing Kante’s coveted signature come the summer, according to a report from the Daily Mirror which hints at the Frenchman’s uncertain future at the Bridge.

Kante’s current terms in the English capital are due to expire in 2023 and there is no clarity for now whether the 31-year-old World Cup-winning midfielder would be interested in penning a new deal with Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Chelsea, meanwhile, would be tipped to scout the market for reinforcements in midfield once the takeover bid from new owner Todd Boehly is approved by the UK government and Premier League officials.
