Chelsea’s forward player Michy Batshuayi has joined Turkish side Besiktas on loan until next summer following his agreement with the Blues on an extension for another two years.
The Belgian international had been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in this summer’s transfer window with Chelsea in the market themselves for a fresh face to bolster their options up on the pitch.
Romelu Lukaku’s recent unveiling as the Blues’ marquee signing for the summer meant that Tuchel had to trim his squad size by allowing the likes of Tammy Abraham and Batshuayi to leave, the former of whom has made the move to Serie A bigwigs AS Roma.

Reports from the club’s official website confirm that the 27-year-old Batshuayi has linked up with his long-term suitors Besiktas after signing an extension to his deal with the Champions League holders.
Batshuayi had played the 2020-21 campaign in the Premier League for fellow Londoners Crystal Palace where he had failed to make the necessary impact into luring Thomas Tuchel to give him a first-team berth at the Bridge upon his return.
