Chelsea demanding £10 million to part ways with Michy Batshuayi this summer

Chelsea are willing to sanction the sale of forgotten man Michy Batshuayi this summer with the Belgium international striker valued in the region of just £10 million by the Champions League holders.

Reports from football.london claim that the Blue are keen to get rid of the deadwood at Stamford Bridge in the ongoing transfer window where Thomas Tuchel is likely to bring in a couple of new signings to supplement the first-team fold.

The Chelsea gaffer has prioritised an approach for the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Borussia Dortmund’s young talisman Erling Haaland in order to shore up his attacking options despite having Timo Werner at his disposal.

With fringe players such as Batshuayi not wanted by Tuchel for his plans ahead on west London, the player who spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Crystal Palace is certain to leave Chelsea in a permanent deal this time around.

The Blues are believed to be wanting an offer northwards of £10 million to part ways with the 27-year-old Batshuayi who is currently with the Belgium squad ahead of the UEFA European Championships where he is expected to play a crucial role off the bench for Roberto Martinez’s side.
