Mauricio Pochettino wants Chelsea to move in for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in this summer’s transfer window.
According to a report from the Spanish news outlet Fichajes, it is claimed that Spurs midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is eyed up by the ex-Tottenham boss Pochettino who wants to reinforce the Chelsea engine room with new signings.
Pochettino is said to be on the verge of confirming his appointment to the Stamford Bridge hot seat and the Argentine coach will be seeking new faces for the squad as part of his proposed rebuild over the summer.
Chelsea forked out a British record transfer fee to bring in Enzo Fernandez in the January transfer window to bolster their midfield and the former Benfica starlet is expected to get a new partner before the next season gets underway.
The 27-year-old Denmark international Hojbjerg is not the only midfielder on Chelsea’s shortlist of candidates with the west London giants also keeping close tabs on long-standing target Roméo Lavia who is likely to leave Southampton.
