Manchester United show interest in Chelsea target Rafael Leao

Manchester United are reportedly credited with an interest in Chelsea target Rafael Leao as the Red Devils look to bolster their front line.

The Old Trafford camp had been keeping close tabs on the in-form Dutchman Cody Gakpo, who on the back of his impressive campaign at the World Cup with the Orange, will go for a big-money price tag.

With United not keen to fork out a fee around the £50 million region to sign Gakpo from PSV, Eric ten Hag’s side have identified AC Milan star Rafael Leao as a viable option on their shopping list for the coming transfer windows.

According to a report from The Daily Mirror, it is claimed that Chelsea could be set for increasing competition on the transfer front from their Premier League rivals United in the chase to secure the coveted signature of Leao.

Chelsea were close to completing a deal to sign the Portugal international winger in the summer only for the Blues co-owner Todd Boehly to pull the plug on the talks with Milan over pricing concerns.
