Malang Sarr closing in on a season-long loan transfer to AS Monaco

Malang Sarr is reportedly closing in on a season-long loan transfer to AS Monaco which includes an obligation to buy in the region of £13 million.

According to a report from football.london, it is claimed that the Chelsea centre-back, who has found it hard to earn regular game time under Thomas Tuchel’s charge, is on the verge of joining Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco on loan.

This deal could have implications on Chelsea’s future business this summer in the transfer market amid rumours of the Blues boss Thomas Tuchel being keen on moving in for Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana.

Leicester’s seemingly high valuation of the 21-year-old French defender is unlikely to put Chelsea off with two bids for the youngster already turned down by the reluctant King Power Stadium outfit.

Chelsea’s third and improved bid for landing Fofana’s signature is expected to be north of £80 million which could convince Leicester on giving the nod to the sale and provide Tuchel his third defensive signing of the window after Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella.
