Leeds United are expected to revisit their interest in Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek over the summer despite the sacking of Jesse Marsch at Elland Road.
Marsch was keen to snap up the one time England international Loftus-Cheek but the former’s departure from the Leeds fold has cast doubt over the Yorkshire outfit weighing up a move for the player.
The 27-year-old Loftus-Cheek has struggled to nail down a regular berth on the teams sheet at Stamford Bridge and the coming summer window could provide him with the chance to seek a move elsewhere with Leeds still in the mix for his signature.
According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that it remains to be seen whether Marsch’s successor in the Leeds dugout, with Rafael Benitez and Javi Gracia said to be the viable candidates, revives the club’s interest in signing Loftus-Cheek.
With Chelsea manager Graham Potter having younger options in his midfield department to call upon in the shape of Conor Gallagher and Carney Chukwuemeka, Loftus-Cheek could be on the move soon with just one year remaining on his current deal in the summer.
