AC Milan could make a move for Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek in January

AC Milan could make a move for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in January when the transfer window reopens for business in the New Year.

Loftus-Cheek has enjoyed a new lease of life, like a couple of his other Chelsea teammates, since Graham Potter took charge at Stamford Bridge, and the Englishman has put out a stellar run of displays.

His versatility has made him a useful option for Potter who has utilized Loftus-Cheek often in the wing-back role which could be on show again now that the first-choice name Reece James has been sidelined with an injury.

Serie A giants AC Milan are keeping close tabs on Loftus-Cheek with the Italian top flight champions hoping to convince the player to make the move to San Siro in the upcoming January transfer window, according to a claim from Calcio Mercato.

Milan have been heavily linked with another Chelsea first-team player – Hakim Ziyech, with the Moroccon playmaker expected to be heading out the Stamford Bridge exit door sooner rather than later after his fall down the pecking order.
