Frank Lampard will have their home match against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon with numerous uncertainties in his team around outgoing transfers. The transfer deadline is on 5th October, Monday and there have been speculations that many players are likely to take an exit from the club.
Ross Barkley is the latest player who departed to Aston Villa on a season-long loan and Bakayoko is confirmed to leave for Napoli.
The latest player whose future remains the most uncertain is left-back, Marcos Alonso. During the West Brom match in half time, Alonso fell out with a furious Lampard who didn’t like the left-back’s unprofessionalism when he was substituted.
For the first time since the game, the Chelsea coach addressed the situation and approached the topic cautiously. He said that he does not want to hold any grudge against any player in his squad and Alsonos is no exception. He also said that he won’t disclose anything about the dressing room incident that occurred which stunned the Chelsea players as per talkSport reports.
“I am not going to disclose what goes on in the dressing room, I think that would be wrong,” Lampard said.
“We were disappointed to be 3-0 down at half-time, I had to make changes.”
The coach is aware of the fact that no matter what happens the team should maintain its integrity. He lays stress that nothing matters if the team integrity is just fine.
“All I ask from all the players, through the good and the bad, is that the players stick together. That is the only thing that will bring through a successful group. That’s as much as I have got to say on it. It doesn’t affect anything ongoing.”
“I cannot have grudges but carry on. We work, we carry on and be honest with each other and carry on to work to get better and better and things happen over the course of a season they happen a lot,” he added.
