Lampard has made Blueprint to progress past Man City and Liverpool, says Timo Werner

Chelsea FC’s new striker Timo Werner claims that the Chelsea coach, Frank Lampard is working day in and day out to make his team more powerful than Liverpool and Man City.

“He’s been great to work with. He’s been discussing his plans for the future, and how we want to battle with teams like Man City and Liverpool,”said the 24-year-old striker.

The young German has shown fine display on the pitch by scoring in just four minutes of his debut match for Chelsea in pre season friendly.

His arrival to Chelsea from RB Leipzig has cost £47.5 million and signed a five-year contract earning £170,000 wages per week.

“The work with the manager recently has been really good,” Werner said to Chelsea’s official website.

The former Leipzig striker claims that their manager has set a blueprint for their upcoming season and is ready for the League.

“He’s been showing and explaining to the whole team, not just me, what we can do on the pitch and how to improve on last season.

“I think Chelsea is a big club and with this team that we have, I think we can reach a new level. We have some very good players here and the manager is there to show us the way and help us improve.

“We’ve worked a lot on tactical things, as well as our strength and fitness, to make sure we are ready for the start of the season.”

Werner had a succesful 2019-20 season with his former club where he netted 34 times in just 45 appearances. He is adapting nicely with the Blues and looks to hold the same form for the upcoming season too.
