La Liga holders Atletico Madrid are credited with an interest in signing Chelsea contract rebel Andreas Christensen next summer with Diego Simeone keen on adding to his backline options.
Christensen has been unable to agree upon a new long-term deal at Stamford Bridge with Thomas Tuchel’s camp despite talks being underway between the player’s representatives and the club since this summer.
Tuchel is understood to be pushing for the Chelsea board to tie down Christensen to an extension beyond the next summer’s transfer window along with his centre-back partner Antonio Rudiger.

Reports from Spanish news outlet Fichajes claim that amid the ever-increasing uncertainty over his future in the Chelsea colours, Atletico Madrid are keen on making a move for the Danish defender who Simeone wants to add to his ranks.
Christensen shrugged off his recent injury concern which sidelined him from the Carabao Cup clash against Southampton earlier this week and started Chelsea’s win away at Newcastle United on Saturday.
