Chelsea will face Krasnodar in Russia for their UEFA Champions League clash of the Group stage on Wednesday. The Blues hasn’t been in a good form lately as they have won just one out of their previous five games in all competitions.
Lampard’s side has drawn all three games that they have played since returning from the international break. Against Southampton, they had a 3-3 home draw while also have a goalless match with Sevilla and Manchester United.
Krasnodar made their Champions League group stage debut where they had a 1-1 draw against Ligue 1 club, Rennes. Group E has all the teams with level points with each other.
The Russian side is in terrible form as they are struggling in the domestic league in the 8th spot and will face a huge challenge to keep Chelsea’s tremendous attacking threat at bay.

TEAM NEWS
Chelsea are definitely the hottest favourites to win three points from this game, but Lampard’s side has costed points in this season where it seemed that they will do things quite easily. But no current injury from the Blues is a huge boost for them. Only Bily Gilmour is recovering from his injury.
The latest superb form of Senegalese keeper of Chelsea, Edouard Mendy has been a huge addition between the sticks and the leading role of Thiago Silva has cut all the errors at the backline which was there in the initial phase of the season. If Lampard wants to progress to the next round, this is a match they must win and by a big margin.
