Jorginho Could Leave In the Summer

According to his agent Joao Santos, Italian midfielder Jorginho could leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window if the Premier League outfit decides to offload the deep-lying playmaker.

Since Frank Lampard has taken charge of the Blues in the summer, Jorginho has regularly featured for the Englishman making 32 appearances in all competitions this term. The 28-year-old has been come under some scrutiny over his Chelsea career, mainly from the fans at Stamford Bridge but somehow Jorginho has always managed to overcome those obstacles.

But with the opportunity for Lampard to revamp his squad and bring in new players at the West London outfit, there could be a possibility that Jorginho leaves Chelsea.

The midfield maestro was brought to Chelsea from Serie A club Napoli by ex-manager Maurizio Sarri and with the latter now at Juventus, there is talk of Jorginho returning to his native to join the Italian giants to play under the master tactician for the third time in his career.

However, Jorginho’s agent Joao Sanchez has explained that his client has the chance to leave the Premier League side but the deal hinges on Chelsea. Santo told Tuttosport, “Anything can happen in the transfer market. I said ‘why not?’ to Juventus because Jorginho has a three-year contract with Chelsea, so the priority is clearly to remain there, but we could also evaluate leaving the club in July”

He further explained that Jorginho has the chance to reunite with Sarri at Juventus, “In that case, if this were to happen, we’d be ready to consider the various proposals that will arrive from Italy, France, and England. ‘Why shouldn’t it be possible to join Juventus? They are the most important club in Italy, the one that has won the most in recent years. We wouldn’t say no to the Bianconeri. ‘It’s natural because Sarri was Jorginho’s coach at both Napoli and Chelsea”
