The Italian midfielder has returned to training at Cobham ahead of Wednesday’s match against Leeds United.
After suffering an injury in the defeat to Everton at Goodison Park, the Italian missed the Blues’ tie with Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
The Chelsea midfielder was ruled out of the team for the 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.
The Euros winner was taken out at half-time against Frank Lampard’s side and was unable to prepare in time to face Wolves.

Chelsea’s development squad overcame Tottenham 2-1 to ensure their Premier League 2 survival. Trevoh Chalobah and Malang Sarr were both involved.
Jorginho scored two penalties in Chelsea’s recent encounter against Leeds, including one in the 94th minute, to give the Blues a 3-2 victory after the Blues were down to Raphinha’s first-half penalty in west London.
Wednesday’s meeting at Elland Road is critical for both teams, as Chelsea looks to keep their Champions League spot despite competition from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, while Leeds tries to avoid relegation.
The Whites are in 18th place, one point behind Everton and one goal behind Burnley. Jesse Marsch’s side is 18 goals behind the Clarets in goal difference and has surrendered 74 times this season, only one goal less than Norwich City.
Chelsea’s picture of players freed from training did not include Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ben Chilwell, or N’Golo Kante.
