Inter Milan look forward to sealing Emerson’s signing in coming days

Chelsea FC left-back Emerson Palmieri has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Inter Milan ahead of a move to the Serie A outfit this summer. The Italian defender is no longer a part of Frank Lampard’s future plans at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues boss had been on the hunt for clubs interested in making the move for Emerson ahead of next season. Inter Milan entered the fray to sign the full-back recently and are reported to have convinced the Chelsea FC outcast to make the move to the Italian capital.

The Nerazzurri’s coach Antonio Conte, an ex-Chelsea FC manager, wants to bring Emerson to the San Siro this summer. The 26-year old left-back has been unconvincing in his displays for the Blues over the past season. Lampard has not awarded a single minute of Premier League football to Emerson since the turn of the year.

However, despite the player agreeing upon personal terms with Conte’s side, a transfer fee is yet to be decided. Chelsea FC’s initial valuation of Emerson is believed to be in the region of £20m plus bonuses. However, the Serie A outfit are hopeful of the Blues lowering their asking price for the Italian international.

Emerson is rumored to be open to the idea of sealing a move to Inter Milan this summer. The 26-year old is hopeful that greater first-team involvement at the Nerazzurri could benefit his chances of making Roberto Mancini’s Italian national team squad for next year’s UEFA Euros.
