Havertz assures the fans that he will soon be at his level best in the Premier League

Chelsea’s new summer signing winger Kai Havertz has opened up about his difficulties in his debut season for Chelsea so far he has faced.

In an interview, he speaks about how different the new club is and that he is slowly starting to keep up his pace with the Premier League playing style.

The 21-year-old had a slow start to life in England as he registered only one assist after playing four games for Chelsea. Havertz did not make a single touch inside the penalty box of the opposition or produce a shot on goal during his first two matches of his Premier League career.

But he enjoyed five touches in the opposition box which included a shot on target and an assist. He also bagged his first hattrick in style against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup although he looked kind of rusty in the following matches.

The German winger is still finding his feet in English football after moving from Bayer Leverkusen in a world-record fee. However, the Germany international believes that he will start producing goals sooner or enough.

The hat-trick was good for me. The start was a little difficult because I only trained for five or six days , then played the first game right away.

“It was also a very big step for me to leave my family and familiar surroundings. Of course, it takes time to get it right. The intensity in the duels and the runs is much highers. It’s a completely different league and the games are very exhausting.”

“The Bundesliga isn’t worse but I noticed differences. It seems to me like there aren’t any average or bad players here- everybody is at a very high level,” said Havertz to Chelsea Official site.

The former Bundesliga star certainly looked way more comfortable when Frank Lampard opted to play him in a central-attacking midfield position. Ziyech’s availability will certainly help Havertz in the upcoming games.
