According to Sky Sports, Fulham are nearing the completion of a deal to sign Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer.
While there is still a difference in their respective valuations of the player, discussions between the two clubs have progressed significantly, raising the likelihood of the transfer being finalized.
Hudson-Odoi has expressed his desire to depart from Chelsea due to being deemed surplus to requirements at the club. He is eagerly awaiting a move to Fulham, where he aims to revive his football career.
The young player first caught attention as one of the promising talents nurtured in Chelsea’s academy and eventually made his senior team debut during Antonio Conte’s tenure.
Following that, he impressed during pre-season under Maurizio Sarri, though the Italian coach took some time before giving him opportunities in competitive matches.

During this time, Bayern Munich expressed strong interest in signing Hudson-Odoi, offering a substantial sum of up to £40 million. However, Chelsea turned down the proposal and retained the player.
Unfortunately, a significant injury setback hindered his progress. Despite signing a new contract with Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi found it challenging to secure a regular starting position under subsequent managers.
After an unsuccessful loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen last season, the attacker is eager to depart from Chelsea and join their London rivals, Fulham.
The three-cap England international was unable to make a lasting impression during his time at Leverkusen, leading the German club to decide against making the move permanent.

Fulham’s forward, Willian, who was once Hudson-Odoi’s teammate at Chelsea, has encouraged him to make the switch to Craven Cottage.
If the deal materializes, the winger could become Fulham’s second signing of the summer. They have already secured Raul Jimenez from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of £5.5 million.
