Frank Lampard Decides The Future Of Eight Youngsters

He has only just been appointed as the new manager of Chelsea football club but Frank Lampard is already making bold decisions and has confirmed the fate of eight players even before the start of the new season.

Chelsea will be in a tough spot as the lost Belgian talisman Eden Hazard in the summer transfer window to La Liga giants Real Madrid and even Maurizio Sarri left the club after guiding them to the Europa League title. The Blues have also been hit with a transfer ban which does not allow them to sign any players for two transfer windows until a whole year.

But Lampard is now at the helm and the 41-year-old wants to instill his brand of football into the club even before the new season begins. The former English midfielder got his first game in charge of Chelsea out of the way as the West London club drew 1-1 with Irish club Bohemians in the first game of the preseason.

But despite stating that he is content with the result, Lampard has decided that eight players will no longer take any further part in Chelsea’s preseason as they continue their preparations for the new term.

Following the draw against Bohemians, Lewis Baker, Izzy Brown, Lucas Piazon, Trevoh Chalobah, Dujon Sterling, Ike Ugbo, Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi are the players that will return to Cobham with their preseason cut short. These eight youngsters will now either be sold or sent out on loan in the summer and will not be a part of Lampard’s plans as he has started his reign by sending a strong message to the rest of the players and Chelsea fans.
