Former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri eyeing up a move for winger Callum Hudson-Odoi

Former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is understood to be eyeing up a move for winger Callum Hudson-Odoi in a potential reunion for the pair who worked together at the Bridge in the 2018-19 season.

Hudson-Odoi has been a recent concern on the COVID-19 front but was back in the starting lineup in Sunday’s outing for Thomas Tuchel men away at Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old put out a fine showing in his return to first-team football but the speculation continues to persist over the England international’s long-term future in the English capital beyond the summer of 2022.

According to reports from the Italian news outlet Tuttosport ( via Football Italia), it is claimed that Serie A outfit Lazio under Sarri’s charge are looking at Layvin Kurzawa and Hudson-Odoi as top names on the shopping list heading into the start of the winter transfer window.

Sarri is keen on working once again with the 21-year-old Chelsea starlet and backing him to succeed in Italy’s top flight should he choose to make the switch to Rome in the near future.
