Chelsea is currently looking for a new manager once more. They’ve reduced their options to five primary candidates as they search for Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement.
Let’s examine their identities and the reasons why Chelsea is interested in them.
Ruben Amorim
Currently the manager of Sporting Lisbon, Ruben Amorim is a well-known figure in Europe. He was even a strong candidate for the Liverpool position at one point. His aptitude for developing young players and his tactical awareness are well known.
A Chelsea offer could cause Amorim to rethink his recent commitment to stay at Sporting and pursue a third straight Portuguese championship. There are worries though that Chelsea’s youthful team may not be the best fit for his coaching style.
Kieran McKenna
Ipswich Town’s manager Kieran McKenna has had an incredible season guiding his team back into the Premier League. He was crowned LMA Manager of the Year and Pep Guardiola and Unai Emery are also in recognition of his achievements.

The 38-year-old would make a big move to Chelsea but other elite teams like Manchester United and Brighton have also taken notice of his appealing attacking play.
Sebastian Hoeness
Stuttgart was languishing near the bottom of the Bundesliga when Sebastian Hoeness took over as manager last year. They not only avoided relegation under his direction but they also placed second this season right behind Bayer Leverkusen.
Hoeness a rising star in German football and is the nephew of Uli Hoeness, a legendary player for Bayern Munich. He may be inclined to stay since, Stuttgart has qualified for the Champions League for the first time in fifteen years but Chelsea’s interest may draw him out.
Michel
When it comes to leading Girona in La Liga, Michel has impressed. His team led the league for a large portion of this season before placing third. Michel is a promising option because of his reputation for playing a style of football that prioritizes technical skills and possession much like that of Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta.

Given Girona’s affiliation with the City Football Group it is hardly unexpected that he will be considered for the role of manager at Chelsea FC in the future.
Maresca Enzo
Chelsea is also interested in Enzo Maresca who was Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City once and now he is managing Leicester City. In his first season incharge, he oversaw Leicester City’s return to the Premier League despite a mid-season slump. Maresca may find the Chelsea position more alluring given that Leicester could lose points the following season.
To sum up these five exceptional people are the focal point of Chelsea’s hunt for a new manager. Each brings a distinct set of abilities and a track record of success so the club faces a difficult but exciting decision to make.
