Emerson Palmieri hints a move away from Stamford Bridge to an Italian side

Chelsea’s Emerson has hardly got his playing time at the club (not more than 150 minutes) in this entire season, even though he is a starter for the Italy national team.

The 26-year-old voiced this anticipated instance of despair concerning his situation back in October. He was seen to restate his feelings, yet again in a press conference in the last month’s international break.

“Here at the national team I play, I have fun and I’m fine. The coach told me that the best solution for me is to play, at Chelsea or in another team, let’s wait for the next two months and see what will happen.”

“Unfortunately I’m not playing at Chelsea, but I’m calm, I think things can improve in London or in another place. There was some interest in me but not concrete things. I’d like to return to play in Italy but I can’t say if it will happen in January or in five years.” said Emerson Palmieri as per Calciomercato (via Sport Witness) reports.

This seems to ignite one club’s motive after Emerson comes back to Italy. You guessed right, Juventus. Although the Bianconeri have been mentioned for the left-back position previously, however according to Corriere Torino, offloading Federico Bernardeschi is their priority.

Federico Bernardeschi has had a playing time lesser than Emerson at Chelsea, consisting of only 114 minutes. Although he had been high-rated previously, now is completely out of favour at Juventus.

The absence of left-back Alex Sandro due to his injuries along with Bernardeschi has left no option for the team but to hire an alternative. Having said that, the team needs to find a way to collect funds to fill the space needed in the squad.

Emerson was previously rumored to be connected to Italian clubs like Juve and Inter Milan in the past. Of course, the deal did not materialize yet. We can only hope for Chelsea to acquire a decent offer for him by the January transfer window.
