Conor Gallagher should be brought back to Stamford Bridge, according to Ben Foster

Foster, 39, has advised Thomas Tuchel to bring one of his academy graduates from Crystal Palace back to Chelsea next season.

The Chelsea loanee has made a name for himself in the Premier League this season, and it appears that he may be called back to Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old Epsom born has made 30 starts for the Eagles this campaign, with an addition of 8 goals and 3 assists in the league run.

Foster admitted that the Englishman is one for the future after having his say on Callagher’s impactful season at the Selhurst Park in his podcast, named ‘Fozcast’.

“All I can say is, playing against Conor Gallagher, he’s a beautiful player. He’s got it, he will be a player, a baller. Chelsea have to play him. Conor Gallagher has shown now he can do it. He’s doing it week in and week out. Honestly, he’s got everything.”

Tuchel also touched down on this topic after the FA Cup semi-final win over Crystal Palace in his post-match interview.

“I believe Conor can be a part of our squad [next season] and can play a role with us But I am not the only one to decide. We need to speak after the season with everybody, speak after the season about what Conor wants, and we need to see what the situation is and what role we have for him that he can fight for.”

His numbers have improved since his last season in terms of his attacking thrust, predominantly as a player-maker but do possess the instinct of a box-to-box player.

With the club’s bad luck continuing, the German boss isn’t ruling out the possibility of bringing Gallagher back to Chelsea to play in his high-octane squad.
